ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The jury will judge the entries in relation to the objectives of promoting diversity and combating discrimination. In addition, preference will be given to those articles that particularly raise awareness of the issue of diversity in employment, or that help increase understanding among young people of multiple discrimination, the benefits of diversity, and the need to combat discrimination.
In addition, jury members will assess entries based on more general evaluation criteria including:

Newsworthiness and relevance of information

Ability to hold the reader’s interest

Objectivity, independency and respect for journalistic ethical principles

Originality

Impact of the work and its benefit to the public

Research required collecting information, resources and effort taken in the work’s preparation

Quality of writing and language

Content of the entry: it must focus on discrimination and in particular on one or several of the different grounds of discrimination covered by EU anti-discrimination legislation (the Racial Equality Directive and the Employment Equality Directive): sexual orientation, age, disability, race or ethnic origin, and religion or belief.
